Gain an overview of the HVAC industry, common system types, and essential components. Learn safety fundamentals, basic hand and power tools, and review the math skills commonly used in the trade such as fractions and measurement conversions.

Module 2: HVAC Fundamentals
Learn how heating and cooling systems operate and how different components work together. Study preventative maintenance for HVAC equipment and develop a practical understanding of basic electrical principles.

Module 3: Electrical for HVAC/R
Interpret HVAC wiring diagrams and symbols while practicing with multimeters, switches, and electrical circuits. Explore motors, contactors, motor starters, thermostats, and heating controls, while applying electrical concepts such as Ohm’s Law.

Module 4: Refrigeration Systems

Module 5: Evacuation, Charging, and Diagnostics
